Meet Bailey, our sweet and laid-back 7 year old Black Tri Aussie, weighing in at 75 pounds!
Dear forever home,
I’ve had a different start to life than most puppies. The first seven years of my life were spent outside. I never went on a walk or left the “safety” of the fence.
Then two months ago, I was taken away from my doggie dad and sister and put in a truck. I was terrified and didn’t trust the humans.
It was 10 degrees and snowing that night. I was cold and was forced inside the house. To my surprise it was actually really nice … warm and cozy. But I was sad, scared and didn’t have an appetite. “Do you want a treat?” she kept repeating … my answer was No.
It took me a few weeks to let my guard down, but boy am I glad I did! I AM HAPPY and my butt won’t stop wiggling.
I love my housemate Meika (my Aussie friend). We do everything together, we even let Mr. Chip (the cat) in on our fun. I also love my foster mom; I follow her everywhere and whine sometimes when she leaves. My favorite is when she comes home and I get to greet her at the door. We even go on walks and runs. I enjoy them very much; she tells me I’m a great runner.
I’m very loyal, friendly and calm. I would make a great companion for a single person or even a family. I just want attention and to be loved but prefer a quieter place. Busy situations make me a little nervous but I am still learning. I’m good in the car and haven’t spent much time with kids.
A fully fenced yard where I can run and play in safety would be best for me.
My life has completely changed and I am forever grateful for this second chance to have my very own human. If you will consider me, I would like to meet you … I am very shy at first but give me a chance and I will blossom!
